Tisha Alam

Tisha is a lawyer at a GTA law firm, where she provides counsel to people in the areas of employment and contract law. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba, and a Masters in Employment Law and Labour Relations from Osgoode Hall Law School. Tisha is passionate about problem solving for people because she sees it as a way to help individuals and organizations reach their fullest potential. Before entering the legal profession, Tisha had a career in social services and worked at a large non-profit neighbourhood house in Toronto, where she provided services to seniors. This experience gave her valuable insight into the profound and lasting impact community-based support can have, especially for vulnerable populations. Having immigrated to Canada in 1990, Tisha's family benefited significantly from the settlement services provided by their local neighborhood house. This personal connection drives her dedication to giving back to the non-profit sector, and she is committed to supporting the governance of organizations that empower individuals and strengthen communities.
