David Garner
David is an accomplished marketing professional with over 7 years of award-winning experience leading digital and paid media strategies across a diverse number of industries. David is highly skilled in data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, lifecycle and cross-channel marketing currently acting as a Senior Program Manager at Metrolinx, leading paid media strategy, vendor management, and media compliance. David has a proven track record of driving business growth through performance marketing and leading engagement and acquisition for various brands and organizations. At Metrolinx, he has played a pivotal role in influencing consumer behaviour to help restore ridership across Metrolinx brands to pre-pandemic levels. Prior to his time at Metrolinx, David lead media planning and strategic marketing development for Nestlé Canada, Sobeys, FreshCo, and Chrysler, achieving industry recognition having received a Gold Medal at both the 2020 Canadian Marketing Awards and 2021 Shopper Innovation Awards in the categories of Business Impact and E-Commerce Innovation, respectively. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Marketing from Ryerson University (Toronto Metropolitan University), in addition to this, he has received a Master of Business Administration from Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University. During his MBA, David lead student engagement over two years sitting on the MBA Student Association, acting as both President of the MBA Student Association and Vice President, Marketing and Communication.
