Anum is a lawyer and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor.
She works as a supervising lawyer at the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (“CLASP”), a student legal clinic at Osgoode Hall Law School that provides legal assistance to low-income residents of Toronto. Anum supervises students in the Administrative Law division, which focuses on areas such as landlord and tenant disputes and social assistance matters. As part of this role, she particularly enjoys mentoring students, engaging in legal advocacy on behalf of her clients, and delivering public legal education sessions.
Prior to joining CLASP, Anum worked for nine years at Scarborough Community Legal Services, a community legal clinic serving residents of Scarborough.
Anum joined SAFSS during her time working in Scarborough and remains committed to supporting the organization and engaging with the community through her role on the Board.
