Ms. Samira Shaikh has completed Post graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) specializing in finance from The Sydenham Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai, India.( The MMS course is affiliated to University of Mumbai, while the PGDBM course is the only fully autonomous course offered by the Government of Maharashtra and is run exclusively by and at SIMSREE. She has over 15 years of experience in various facets of financial management. She was working with RBC Royal Bank as an Account Manager. Prior to that, she was a senior personal banking representative at CIBC. She also has had an extensive experience dealing in stocks as having worked at a security analyst with HSBC in India.
Over the past several years Samira has been involved in various charitable and fund raising activities with various different organisations. Very recently she was a one of the members of The Clothing Drive which was set up to help the Syrian Refugees. Being a first generation immigrant she has the wellbeing of the immigrants and refugees close to her heart. She is multilingual in Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati and is deeply involved in violence against women and honour based marriages.
